Ahmed had to look up literally 99% of the material we discussed today.  Some of the items I just moved on from due to the amount of time it was taking to locate information.  Yes, things can be looked up but not every single thing.  I am torn on how to handle this- if I just give him homework it’s more things to look up, which he is already great at tbh We talked about how we prioritize the importance of what to memorize vs what is ok to use a reference- things needed in flight (pilot limitations, cloud clearances, procedures, checklist use) versus things considered during preflight planning on the ground. Hit some weak areas in aerodynamics w/regards to AOA characteristics. I will likely recommend an oral recheck on some of the aerodynamic concepts, and an inflight oral check of vis & cloud clearances but give me some time to think about it all. *Location of endorsements-  can find in logbook?  *Solo endorsement valid for? *Documents to take when flying solo? Omitted photo ID & logbook until prompted (can you fly if you left your wallet at home?) *Know student pilot limitations for memory *Know VFR cloud clearances for memory- applicable in flight *Stated critical AOA changes based on airspeed *Pitch attitude vs AOA *AOA definition  *What things can increase stall speed? *What makes aircraft spin? Initially stated a stall in a turn, but if you decided to turn the opposite way (?) *Review cross controlled stall/spin situation- when most likely? *Review skids & relationship to spin Why reduce power in spin recovery? Got there with lots of hints & questioning- initially gave the ol’ “because we’re going down fast” answer Why neutral ailerons in spin recovery?
