- It is generally good practice to put tower and ground in different COMs so that you can verify both are working for transmission and reception before takeoff -> the way you have it set up verifies that COM2 can receive but you have not checked that you can transmit on it - good job with passenger briefing - good job using box check for flight controls - good job looking into when pitot heat is required - good job with priming / engine start - make sure to apply back pressure on the elevator during taxi turns - good job drawing out taxi directions, but make sure to brief them fully thinking about which direction of turns you are going to make - remember to set appropriate power settings during taxi (about 1,000 RPM) - don't forget about crosswind taxi corrections - make sure to bug runway and departure altitude to aid as quick references during takeoff - good note about not doing maneuvers over a congested area - good job returning to the airport - good job with the approach - good decision to go around!!
