# General Notes
- good job with passenger briefing
- ==**make sure to use a full box pattern to check flight controls so that you ensure they are free in all possible deflections**==
- ==**leave mixture in idle cutoff position when starting engine until the engine begins to run on its own**==
- I would recommend not accepting a right downwind from runway 7 as it gives you very little margin for error and places you very close to the ground in the event of an emergency
- always a good idea to listen to the new ATIS when they announce there is a new one and you are still on the ground
- this will allow you to see if there are any new conditions which are not conducive to the flight that you are attempting to do
- when leveling off: allow airplane to accelerate and then reduce power, do not reduce power until you reach the approximate speed you would like to fly at
- when you want to squawk 1200 you can press the VFR soft key
- make sure that you lean mixture when cruising (do cruise checklist)
# Clearing Turns
- good job
# Power off Stall
- ==**brought nose down to retract flaps, make sure you maintain pitch attitude**==
# Emergency Descent
- bank angle barely went to 30 degrees for a second, remember go *between 30 and 45* degrees of bank
- wait to add power back in until you have reached the speed you want to maintain (same thing as what you should do with power changes during any level off)
# Cross Country Flight Planning / Dead Reckoning / Pilotage
- remember that if you are departing on 7 and your navlog has you going to the west, there is nothing wrong with starting your timer as you are crossing the airport outbound
# Normal / Crosswind Takeoff and Climb
- good job
# Soft Field Takeoff and Climb
- make sure to level off in ground effect
# Traffic Pattern
- good job
# Lost Procedures
- you can't ask the evaluator which road is near us
- got a relatively close position
# Normal / Crosswind Approach and Landing
- ==**about 200 feet short of touchdown point**==
# Forward Slip to a Landing
- good decision go go around on the first attempt
- make sure you maintain tracking runway centerline
- second attempt: landed about 200 feet short of touchdown point
# Short Field Approach and Landing
- made touchdown point
# Soft Field Approach and Landing
- ==**nose wheel touched down just after main landing gear**==
# Go Around
- made decision to go around because unstabilized approach -> good decision
- ==**retracted flaps from full to 0 degrees before accelerating**==
