Vaporization is an **endothermic process**—it absorbs heat from the surrounding air/fuel mixture and engine components, which lowers the temperature. - **Incomplete Combustion and Heat Absorption:** With a richer mixture, not all the fuel burns completely. The unburned fuel and its evaporation absorb heat energy that would otherwise increase the combustion chamber temperature. - **More Fuel Dilutes the Combustion:** The extra fuel acts like a heat sink and slows down the combustion temperature rise, effectively lowering peak cylinder temperatures. - **Lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures:** Because the mixture is rich, the combustion temperature is lower, which means the exhaust gases carry less heat away from the engine. ## Electrical ### Alternator - good job ### Alternator Failures - good job - keep in mind that the standby battery will begin to power the system once the main battery reaches 20 volts (assuming standby battery set in ARM position) ### Current - good job ## Ignition ### Impulse Coupling - good job ## Oil - good job # Performance and Limitations ## Lift Production - good job ## Stall Aerodynamics - good job ## Stall Speed Changes with Bank - good job ## Slipping and Skidding Turns - good job ## Forward Slip Aerodynamics - good job
