# Most Relevant Notes
- *always* make sure you are at a safe airspeed before climbing in a go around -> you made the correct decision to go around, but you *have to allow* airspeed to build to a safe level during a go around before pitching the nose up -> you run the risk of stalling the airplane at a very low altitude which is likely to be fatal
# Pilotage and Dead Reckoning / Navigation Systems and Radar Services
- pilotage good
- I would recommend not using the frequencies list in foreflight as these can be inaccurate and not guarantee signal reception
- [ ] review [[Flight Service Communications Guide]]
# Diversion
- good job -> going to do one in the ground trainer from actual flight plan
- good job listening to both the practice area frequency and the apopka CTAF at the same time
- this is great for situational awareness
# Lost Procedures
- good job
# Takeoffs / Landings
## Traffic Pattern (X04)
- make sure to double check the airport elevation and traffic pattern altitude for the airport, we were flying the pattern at 1,000
- make sure that you are making reports with the correct callsign (called as 174TH a few times)
## Normal Takeoff and Climb
- good job
## Normal Approach and Landing
- ==**-8 knots airspeed on final**==
- ==**short of landing point**==
## Soft Field Takeoff
- good job
## Soft Field Landing
- good job
## Short Field Takeoff
- good job
## Short Field Landing
- overshot final
- made touchdown point
- went left of centerline after touchdown
## Power off 180
- ==**about 300 feet beyond touchdown point**==
## Go Around
- elected to do go around when it appeared would be short on short field -> good decision
- ==**pitched nose up to approximately Vy pitch attitude with indicated airspeed of about 35-38 knots**==
# Steep Turns
- altitude +20/-59 feet
- airspeed -5 knots
- heading +5 degrees
# Steep Spiral
- slightly wider radius during first turn but otherwise good job
# Chandelles
- ==**always do clearing turns in the direction that you are going to do the maneuver**==
- ==**in this case you did one 90 degree turn to the left and then back to the right and then did the chantelle to the right meaning you are turning in the maneuver away from the area that you cleared**==
- the maneuver though was:
- bellissimo
- maravilhoso
- stellar
# Lazy Eights
- good job
- remember to add rudder as necessary rolling into and out of the turn
# Eights on Pylons
- ==**entered on the upwind (wrong side)**==
- ==**don't forget to use the rudder in the turns!!!**==
# Slow Flight
- ==**airspeed -2 knots**==
- ==**rolled past instructed heading by about 20 degrees**==
# Power off Stall
- lead pitching down to intercept 65 knot airspeed
- ==**make sure to arrest descent rate before bringing the flaps up**==
# Power on Stall
- make sure that you callout stall warning indications
- otherwise good
# Accelerated Stall
- good job
# Spin Awareness
- good job
# Emergency Descent
- ==**pitched nose down a little bit too much, which resulted in airspeed going above 129**==
# Emergency Approach and Landing
- engine failure at approximately 2,000 ft NW shore of lake apopka
- good job
# Systems and Equipment Malfunctions
- good job
