# Review of Navlog (==***Unsat***==)
- assigned KORL KAGS $\rightarrow$ route selected: $TOLLZ2 \space TOLLZ \space WORMS \space GUANO \space MMKAY$
- do not plan your navlog through restricted airspace (especially if active) or any other special use airspace that could be hazardous
- utilize victor airways for the route
- distance between fixes was far too long for the route
## Alternate Planning (==***Unsat***==)
- asked about alternate planning requirements
- you are legally required to plan for alternates for ***every IFR flight*** $\rightarrow$ [FAR 91.103(a)](https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-14/part-91/section-91.103#p-91.103(a))
- stated that ALTERNATE MINIMUMS have to be published to use as an alternate but then corrected to say that there are standard non-precision and precision alternate minimums
- then asked whether or not you could use $KEMP$ as an alternate airport and stated that you could only use it if could descend from MEA to landing under basic VFR
# Approach Procedures (==***Unsat***==)
## KEMP VOR-A
![[KEMP VOR A.PDF]]
- stated would time for two minutes outbound from VOR
- good job
## EMP RNAV 1
- asked when you can descend in the TAA
- stated when within 10 degrees of the course guidance and and 10 miles of IMETY
- I asked which course guidance and looked it up then stated that you would have to wait to cross IMETY before starting descent
- the whole point of the TAA is so that ATC does not have to clear you to certain altitudes
## 1A5 RNAV A
- good job talking about which direction to circle
