# Items to Practice With Peter
- [ ] [[Drew Kelly Private End of Course Flight - Recheck#Ground Reference Maneuvers|Turns Around a Point]]
- Drew did a great circle for his turn around a point but turned out too early from the second turn. Given that he did a great job flying the maneuver, I would recommend that you practice a few turns around a point and make sure that he is rolling out on the correct heading

# General Notes
- Clearing turns should ==***always***== be done just before entering into a maneuver
- you do *not* want to do a clearing turn and then fly for a bit and do a position report
- remember the position report is not required, it is a good thing to do, but do it while in the clearing turn or before
# Engine Starting
- good job
# Runway Incursion Avoidance
- good job briefing the taxi
# Normal / Crosswind Landing
# Soft Field Takeoff
- try to bring the nose up just a little bit more during the takeoff roll
- otherwise good job
# Soft Field Landing
- good job
- slightly left of centerline
# Short Field Landing
- short of landing point
- I would encourage you to choose the same touchdown point for the normal landing, if you are doing that first it will give a chance to see how the airplane is handling and potentially make small adjustments
- if you are not going to make your touchdown point, GO AROUND!
# Go Around
- did not get to do this as had to do full stop landing and since recheck is required anyways figured it would be more effective to do it during the recheck
# Traffic Patterns
- make sure to stay consistently parallel to the runway when flying in the downwind, this is especially important when you have crossed the approach end of the runway and can no longer clearly see it
# Diversion
- asked him to divert to KISM
- turned on course which would have crossed through the TFR
- he noted before turning that it would take him close to the TFR
- remember to always steer clear of airspace!
- we have plenty of fuel and time to go on a slightly longer route that allows you to not have to worry about the TFR

# Steep Turns
- good job
- make sure to add more rudder in the transition from one turn to the next
# Slow Flight
- good job
# Power on Stall with Turn
- asked for right bank
- cleared the area to the left $\rightarrow$ make sure you are doing clearing turns in the direction that you are doing the maneuver
# Emergency Descent
- didn't bring the nose down quite enough, but eventually got up to 120 knots
- descended 140 feet below target altitude
- remember, there is no need to continue in the bank when you have already accelerated and pitched the nose down because we no longer have any negative g loading
# Ground Reference Maneuvers
- great circle
- make sure to bug entry heading so that you know exactly where to roll out
- altitude and airspeed good, max airspeed -8kts
