# Departing the United States/Arriving in the Bahamas
## Paperwork

- call Bahamian customs, confirm how C7A forms will be accepted, local customs procedures
- Form C7A (in triplicate): CH.293 §72
- immigration cards (for each occupant): CH.191 §14(2)
- IFR (or DVFR) flight plan
## Flight
- private aircraft departure clearance approved (US CBP email)
- depart ±60 minutes from the departure time listed in the manifest
- if possible, cancel IFR while airborne (unless landing at towered airport)
- proceed directly to Bahamian customs
- retain stamped Form C7A as cruising permit
# Departing the Bahamas/Arriving in the United States
## Paperwork
- eAPIS arrival manifest: 19 CFR §122.22(b)
- secure permission to land: 19 CFR §122.22(b)(6)
- Form C7 (in duplicate): CH.293 §89
- CBP Form 6059-B (as applicable): 19 CFR §122.27
- IFR (or DVFR) flight plan
## Flight
- return Form C7A
- return immigration cards
- retain signed Form C7 as outward certificate of clearance
- pick up IFR clearance from Miami Oceanic Center above 6,000ft MSL (prior to entering ADIZ)
- arrive within allowed time for permission to land
- proceed directly to US customs
