![[GFH slip.png]] A slip occurs when the aircraft's longitudinal axis is misaligned with the relative wind to the outside of a turn. This could be the result of a pilot failing to compensate for [[Adverse Yaw]], or intentionally applying opposite rudder during a turn. During a slip, the pilot will feel "pulled" towards the inside of the turn, or the lowered wing. In a slip, the angle of bank is too high for the current rate of turn.
